Please tell me you guys have something like this. I was listening to the tracks right now, and I tried to mess around with it, but amazingly difficult to fix.I realized that who ever mixes this thing is going to have their work cut out for them and I think it's gonna be one of the band members since they are deciding to only track drums with me and do the rest of the tracking themselves. So we said hopefully it can be fixed in the mix. ![]() We tried a couple more times to reproduce the energy with other mic positions, but nothing. The drummer and I decided that it was by far the best take. The cymbals where overpowering and washy, and the squashed TO ribbon wasn't helping. Huge energy, snare drum that had a nice boominess without being boxy and nice punchy bass drum.īut. When listening to the playback, the later take was almost perfect. So the drummer decides to do another take because the tone is warmer than the first few takes. Unfortunatly, I didn't find this out until later in the session. Kind of a bright room, but my trusty TO ribbon and a squashed Pro VLA gave me a sweet room sound. It's one of the classrooms in my music building (fits about 60 pieces comfortably). ![]() ![]() Today, I was tracking drums in a nice huge, I mean huge room. My name is Sal Morales and I have sinned.
